Not the fastest way to drive towards Perth, but definitely the most scenic. Some of the highlights in this area are the circle drives around the Lesueur National Park and in the Pinnacles National Park. Wildflowers and plants in the first, curious and not completely explained limestone formations in the “desert” in the second,  just a few miles from the sea… You can visit both without ever leaving your air conditioned car, if you like – which is pretty comfortable considering the temperatures in the high 30s…
